In a world of ever-changing algorithms and diverse social media platforms, I was given the opportunity to have a website of my own, so here it is!
About me
I am a trained biologist and landscape ecologist, and I want to continue pursuing these passions professionally by dedicating myself to nature conservation. In my free time, I also volunteer to care for sick and injured animals found in the wild – primarily bats. However, I have always loved expressing myself creatively and exploring new ways to do so. For many years now, I have discovered the art of photography, which I would love to continue exploring and sharing with others! This platform is mainly meant to give an overview of my work and perhaps inspire your own creative projects! I will also try to showcase some of my other craft projects here!
My Photography
For me, photography was mainly a hobby. However, over the past few years, my personal projects have grown significantly, and especially the post-processing of the images has required more and more time and effort. That's why I’ve recently started trying to turn my hobby into a profession!
My kind of photography can be defined as fantasy photography as I love placing people in fantastical scenes! Ideally, these settings include real castles, ruins, forests, and more. But also in the studio, I enjoy building smaller themed sets, so that even with bad weather, an enchanted forest can be created! There simply are no limits to creativity!
Lately I am also trying to be on both sides of the camera. On the one hand, to showcase my crafting work related to cosplay and my sewing experiments. On the other hand, to gain posing experience myself, which I can pass on to models.
Why „Mialee“?
My actual Name is Lena Brenstein, but since my first name is too generic and my last name easily misspelled, I somehow adopted Mialee as my trade mark ...and yes, there is a story to it, even two to be exact! While as a kid, I loved this name as I read about the elvish Paladin in Dungeons & Dragons, it also happened to be a combination of all my three first names (yes three..).
